#10 - Join a gym
My original goal was just to exercise two weeks straight or to go running for two weeks, however, realistically in order to complete the goal of becoming a size 14 I should join a gym. Scary that I would ever say those words to myself. I had to give up my dancing because it was getting to be too expensive, but I was able to find a gym that costs $45.00 a month, is right on the way home from work, and has a very cute guy working there (did I also mention the cute guy is my personal trainer when I can afford it). It has worked perfectly for me - me, someone who has truly never enjoyed working out make an honest effort to go three - four times a week and spend an hour lifting weights, running the treadmill, riding the bike, stretching out. And the scariest part about the whole disgusting thing? I am using it to train for a half marathon - uh is the same Katie Allen we are talking about? But due to recent things in my life, I really feel the need to focus on me completly and that includes some physical acitivity - plus it cleanses the brain a little (although I have discovered that it does tend to fuel my anger, not recede it). I will be a powerhouse yet.
