Most people that know me know that I am not a person of patience, especially since moving out here and living life in the fast lane. I hate to wait in line, I hate to wait for my food or service, I hate to sit at a traffic light for more than five seconds too long, etc. you get the picture.
So it was a bit of a surprise event to me that I let someone with two items go in front of me at Walmart. Mind you - this was on a Saturday afternoon where the lines went into the aisles and I was already shooting myself for coming on a day like that. But I felt a wave of benevolence pass over me and I let the lady go in front. And just hearing the simple thank you when it happened and once again as we passed each other in the parking lot made me realize that I can be nice when I want to be.
